It’s always interesting when the politics and fashion collide. In October, the New York Times ran an article titled “How to white fade.” The article describes the relative absence of black models on the catwalks of Fashion Week of the youngest.

As a follower of fashion and a black woman, caught my attention in the article.

I tend to the thesis that race is an important feature of living, but should not govern our lives and our decisions or dictate. But the Fashion Week this year has put those beliefs into question.

The New York Times painted a picture of money in the world of fashion. According to the article, the number of black women in fashion shows has declined.
